UPSRTC Launches Recruitment Drive for Female Conductors in Uttar Pradesh
Recruitment Announcement for Women Conductors
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has officially announced the commencement of a recruitment process specifically for female candidates to become conductors. Following the recruitment of male conductors, this initiative opens up opportunities for women to join the workforce as bus conductors. Interested candidates are required to apply in person at designated job fairs rather than through online applications.
Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit
To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must have completed their intermediate education (12th grade) from a recognized board. Additionally, applicants are required to possess a CCC computer certificate. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 40 years, with relaxations available for women from reserved categories as per government regulations.
Schedule for Recruitment Fairs
UPSRTC has outlined specific dates for the recruitment fairs across various districts. On March 25, fairs will be held in Saharanpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Chitrakoot Dham, and Prayagraj. On March 28, candidates can apply in Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, and Varanasi. March 30 will see fairs in Meerut, Etawah, Hardoi, Devi Patan, and Azamgarh, while on April 1, recruitment will take place in Noida, Agra, Moradabad, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur.
Additional Benefits for Candidates
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh mentioned that candidates holding an NCC 'B' certificate, NSS, or those who have received state or presidential awards from the Bharat Scouts and Guides will receive an additional 5% weightage in the merit list.
Application Process
Female candidates must visit their nearest regional manager's office or the designated fair venue to complete the application process. It is essential to bring all necessary documents to the specified location. Selection will be based on merit.
Selected candidates will be assigned to depots in their respective districts. They will receive a payment of ₹2.16 per kilometer, along with an incentive of ₹3,000 for completing 22 days of duty or 5,000 kilometers.
Free Application Process
Selected female conductors will also benefit from an e-pass, free travel facilities, and night allowances. Notably, the application process for this recruitment is entirely free, ensuring that no fees are charged to women candidates from any category, thereby encouraging maximum participation.
