Who Are the 12 Students Achieving Perfect Scores in JEE-Main 2026?
Outstanding Achievements in JEE-Main 2026
New Delhi: In a remarkable achievement, twelve candidates have scored a perfect 100 in the JEE-Main 2026 engineering entrance examination, as reported by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday. The majority of these top scorers are from Rajasthan.
Over 13.04 lakh students participated in this important examination's first session.
Among the twelve who achieved the top NTA score, three are from Rajasthan, two from Andhra Pradesh, and one each from Delhi, Bihar, Odisha, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Telangana.
Notably, all twelve candidates are male.
Officials clarified that the NTA score represents normalized scores rather than the percentage of marks achieved.
"NTA scores are normalized across multiple shifts and reflect the relative performance of all candidates in a given shift. The scores are adjusted to a scale from 100 to 0 for each group of examinees. Thus, the NTA score differs from the percentage of marks obtained," explained a senior official.
To ensure the examination's smooth execution, a Central Control Room was established to oversee operations.
"The NTA implemented extensive arrangements at various levels, collaborating with state and district authorities to facilitate the examination. An OTP-based Aadhaar E-KYC system was introduced for candidate verification during registration, aimed at preventing impersonation and addressing future concerns," the official added.
