UGC NET Result 2023: The eagerly anticipated University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2023 results have left a whopping 6,39,069 candidates on the edge of their seats. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has revealed that the much-awaited results will be announced on either July 26 or 27. Once declared, students can promptly access their scores on the official websites. To retrieve their UGC NET exam results, candidates must use their application number and date of birth. The following websites can be utilized for result checking: ugcnet.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in.

Aspiring candidates should be aware that Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) requires more marks than NET. While achieving 50 per cent in the exam is considered a qualifying score for UGC NET, securing a place in the top 6 per cent (this percentage may vary) allows candidates to be selected for the prestigious Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The marking scheme for the UGC NET 2023 June session awards two marks for each correct response, without any negative marking for incorrect answers. Unanswered, unattempted, or marked-for-review questions do not receive any marks. In cases of incorrect or ambiguous questions with multiple correct answers, candidates who attempted the question and chose one correct answer are credited. Additionally, if a question is found to be incorrect and is later dropped, the candidates who attempted it are awarded two marks, as per NTA guidelines.

The provisional answer key for UGC NET June 2023 was released on July 6, and candidates were invited to raise objections until July 8. The final answer key, expected to be released with the UGC NET result, will be available after considering these objections. The UGC NET June exam was conducted in two phases, covering 83 subjects across 181 cities nationwide. Phase one took place from June 13 to 17, followed by phase two from June 19 to 22.

The UGC NET is a prestigious national-level exam conducted twice a year. Qualifying candidates will be eligible for assistant professor positions and junior research fellowships in various universities and higher education institutions throughout the country.
