- Seat Confirmation Deadline: Applicants who have been assigned seats must confirm their seats by 5 PM on August 2. If the seat is not accepted, it will be forfeited.
- Reporting to Colleges: Candidates should report to their colleges between August 3 and 7, 2024, to confirm their acceptance into the programme.
Counselling Procedure
- Registration and Payment: Candidates who appear on the TNEA ranking list must register and pay the necessary fees.
- Choice Filling: The first round of choice filling ended on July 31, 2024.
- Allocation and Confirmation: Based on the choices filled, the seat allotment is done, and candidates must confirm their acceptance.
Options for Allotted Candidates
- Accept and Choose Upward Movement: Candidates can accept the allotted seat and choose to be considered for higher preference seats in subsequent rounds.
- Decline and Select Upward Movement: Candidates can decline the current allotment but still wish to be considered for higher preference seats.
- Opt Out of Counselling Session: Candidates can choose to exit the counselling process.
Steps After Seat Acceptance
- Download Allocation Letter: Candidates who accept their seat must download the allocation letter.
- Report to Institutes: They must report to their designated institutes and complete the admissions process, including payment of applicable fees.
- Upward Mobility: Students who have selected upward mobility will wait until the next round for possible higher preference seat allotment. The provisional allotment for these applicants will be made available on August 10.
