The HSE+1 or class 11 results have been declared today, May 19 at 2 pm by the Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu (TNDGE). A significant 90.93% of students have successfully cleared the exam. Out of the total 7,76,844 students who appeared for the TN class 11th exam this year, 7,06,413 students have passed. Comparatively, in 2022, there were 8,05,000 students who took the exam, with 7,45,000 students passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 90.5%.

To check their results, candidates who appeared for the exams can visit the official websites tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in. The TN +1 exam was conducted from March 14 to April 5, 2023. Students can retrieve their Tamil Nadu Class 11 results by entering their board exam registration number and date of birth. It is important to note that the original HSE+1 marksheet will be provided to students by their respective schools. While the provisional marksheet will be available on the official website of the TNDGE, the board will also initiate the scrutiny and supplementary exam process for HSE+1 once the TN Class 11 result 2023 is announced.

In order to pass, students must score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. It is worth mentioning that since 2018, the Tamil Nadu board has discontinued the practice of declaring the names of top-ranking students. Instead, they now announce the city or district with the highest pass percentage, aiming to reduce unhealthy competition. Consequently, there will be no toppers list this year for both HSE +1 and SSLC exams.

In other news, the results of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) class 10 board examinations have also been released by TNDGE today, May 19 at 10 am. An impressive 91.39% of students have successfully passed the TN SSLC exams 2023. Out of the total 9,14,320 students who took the exam, 4,04,904 boys and 4,30,710 girls cleared it, resulting in pass percentages of 88.16% and 94.66% respectively.

For students who may have obtained poor marks, TNDGE will soon announce the dates for the compartment exam and re-evaluation process for TN 10th SSLC Result 2023.
