Annual Verification Process for Pensioners in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Pensioners Must Complete Annual Verification by March 31, 2025

The Rajasthan government is currently in the final stages of the annual verification process for the social security pension scheme. Eligible pensioners who have not yet completed their verification can do so until March 31, 2025. Out of 9,169,765 pensioners, 7,782,713 have successfully completed their annual verification this year, leaving 1,387,052 yet to verify.

It is mandatory for all eligible pensioners to complete their annual verification by March 31, 2025. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of their pension. To enhance transparency and convenience, the government has strengthened the digital verification process, ensuring that eligible individuals continue to receive their pension benefits.

Previously, pensioners had to visit various offices for verification, which was particularly challenging for elderly and disabled pensioners. Now, the process has been streamlined through an OTP-based digital verification on the pension portal. Pensioners will need to log in, receive an OTP on their mobile devices, and then verify their identity.

The government has also stated that pensions being received based on incorrect information have been halted. Conversely, if a deserving individual's pension was wrongly suspended, it is being reinstated. This initiative aims to maintain transparency and fairness in the pension distribution system. The new digital verification model is expected to expedite the process and curb corruption.

The Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment has indicated that if a pensioner fails to complete the annual verification, field personnel will report to the approving officer for a physical verification based on the pensioner's documents. During this verification, the approving officer will receive an OTP on their linked mobile device. The officer must select a declaration confirming that they have personally verified the pensioner's documents and that the pensioner was present in person. The final date for verification under the social security pension scheme remains March 31.
