Odisha's Phase-I SPOT Admission Results Unveiled: Over 25,000 Students Secured Seats!

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education in Odisha has released the Phase-I SPOT admission results for the 2026-27 academic year, with 25,332 students successfully securing seats in various streams. This round also included 3,786 new applicants who were previously unallocated. The Arts stream led the admissions, followed by Science, Commerce, and others. Phase-I SPOT Admission Results Released


Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education announced the Phase-I SPOT admission results for the academic year 2026-27 on Thursday, revealing that 25,332 students have successfully secured placements in higher secondary institutions throughout Odisha.


As per the department's report, this latest admission round has also included 3,786 new applicants who had not received seats in previous admission phases.


Among those selected, the Arts stream saw the highest number of admissions, totaling 14,180, while the Science stream followed with 7,226, Commerce with 2,601, Vocational with 1,068, and Sanskrit with 257.


Officials indicated that a total of 48,536 candidates were evaluated during the Phase-I SPOT selection process. Out of these, 25,332 were granted seat allotments, whereas 23,204 candidates were not selected. After the completion of the first, second, and SPOT admission rounds, 20,450 applicants remain without admission.


Additionally, the department noted that 7,338 students were assigned seats in their preferred college and stream.


Selected candidates are required to visit the SAMS portal to finalize their admission process, including document verification, within the designated timeframe. The schedule for the subsequent phase of the e-admission process will be announced at a later date.
