NIFT 2024 Counselling: First Round Seat Allotment List Released

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has announced the NIFT 2024 seat allotment (Round I) for undergraduate and postgraduate courses today, on June 21, 2024. Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to pay the seat-acceptance fee by June 24 (11.59 pm).

NIFT seat allotment is based on the merit rank of the candidate in the NIFT 2024 entrance exam, their category, and the choices opted by the candidate. Candidates who have been allotted seats can download the provisional allotment letter from the admission portal using their login credentials. Failure to pay the fee within the given deadline will result in the cancellation of the seat, which will then be allocated to the next candidate in the order of merit.

NIFT 2024 Seat Allotment Process The seat allotment considers:

• The category of the candidate
• The merit rank of the candidate in NIFT 2024
• Options selected at the time of counseling registration (combination of Campus + academic program or course)
• Seat intake for the applied program
• Whether the candidate belongs to the PwD category
• Any other seat allotment rules that may be applicable.

Eligibility Criteria for Participation in NIFT 2024 Seat Allocation Process

• Program: UG programs
  • Entrance exam: Qualified NIFT Entrance Exam 2024, including Situation Test and Personal Interview as applicable
  • Qualifying exam:
    • BDes: Any subjects
    • BFTech: Physics and Mathematics
    • Appeared for SAT (for Bachelor program) and has a valid score received by NIFT
    • Qualified NIFT Entrance Exam 2024 for Artisan/ Children of Artisan category
    • Qualified NLEA 2024 Entrance Exam
    • The candidate must have passed 10th exam or 3- or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE/ AIU/ UGC or a State Board of Technical Education in courses related to Fashion/ Apparel/ Textile and Accessories/ Home Science/ Handloom Technology/ Products/ Visual Communication/ Graphic Design/ Industrial Design/ Interior Design/ Multimedia Design/ Apparel Technology/ Leather/ Fine Arts, or passed 10+2 exam recognized by AIU, or completed 2 years regular UG Diploma at NIFT after passing 10+2.
• Program: MDes and MFM
  • Entrance exam: The candidate must have qualified in NIFT Entrance Exam 2024 or appeared for GMAT and has a valid score received by NIFT
  • Qualifying exam: The candidate must have a valid UG degree or completed 3-year UG diploma from NID/NIFT.
• Program: MFTech
  • Entrance exam: The candidate must have qualified in NIFT Entrance Exam 2024 or appeared for GMAT and has a valid score received by NIFT
  • Qualifying exam: The candidate must meet any of the following criteria: BFTech from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), or BE/BTech from any recognized institute.
