- Shifts:
- First Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Second Shift: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
- Exam Centers: 129 locations across the country
- Medium: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) in Hindi or English
- Sections: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
- Questions: 60 questions per section
Merit List:
- Created separately by NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai’s Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS).
- The top three marks from each of the four sections are considered.
- The section with the lowest score is excluded from the merit list.
Integrated MSc Program:
NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai, offer a five-year Integrated MSc program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Admission to this program is based on the successful qualification of the NEST exam.
