“The revised results for NEET UG (2024) have not been declared yet. Kindly wait for the official information,” stated a ministry representative.

Website Link Misunderstanding

Students encountered issues accessing their results due to an outdated link on the official NEET website. The link titled ‘Click Here for NEET 2022 Revised Scorecard!’ is for a previous year's results, specifically for 1,563 students whose revised scores were published at that time.

“The website showing the revised card link is an old link for 1,563 students when their revised card had come,” explained a ministry spokesperson.

Where to Check NEET UG 2024 Results

Students can check the updated NEET UG 2024 results by visiting exams.nta.ac.in once they are officially released. Although the results are anticipated to be announced tonight, no official confirmation has been made.

Background on Result Revisions

The revision of the results followed a Supreme Court ruling concerning the compensatory marks awarded for a Physics question. Previously, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had awarded compensatory marks based on incorrect answers referenced in an outdated Class 12 NCERT textbook.

Following the Supreme Court's decision to revoke these compensatory marks, a committee of experts from IIT Delhi determined the correct answer. Based on the committee's findings, the court declared that for the disputed Physics question, marks would be granted only for option 4.

Previous and Current NEET UG 2024 Results

Today's release of the NEET UG scorecard will be the third set of results for this year's exam:

  1. First Release: June 4, with initial results and grace marks.
  2. Second Release: After re-testing 1,563 applicants and amending all candidates’ scorecards.
  3. Third Release: The final result cum scorecard displaying each candidate's all-India rankings and scores.

Supreme Court's Ruling on Retesting

The Supreme Court rejected appeals for the cancellation and retesting of the NEET UG 2024 exam. The court highlighted that ordering a fresh test would disrupt the admission schedule and affect approximately 24 lakh students who took the exam, causing significant ramifications.
