Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: Priya Shinde, the Deputy Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, announced that candidates impacted by the TET paper leak will not need to re-register. There will be no extra registration fees for any candidate. In a media briefing following the postponement, Shinde reassured that the candidates are not to blame and will not experience any inconvenience due to this situation.

FIRs Filed Against Three Suspects:
Shinde indicated that stringent measures would be enforced against those accountable for the leak. FIRs have been lodged against three individuals, and law enforcement is currently investigating the case. The examination paper, managed by a Pune-based organization, was reportedly leaked in Thane and Bhiwandi. As a result, the exam, which was set to take place on Sunday, was postponed mere hours before its commencement due to the alleged leak.

Rescheduling Timeline:
The examination was planned to occur at 1,728 centers across 37 locations in Maharashtra, with around 612,500 candidates anticipated to participate. Shinde mentioned that the new date for the exam and the updated schedule will be revealed shortly. She also noted that the investigation is still in progress, and further actions will be determined based on its outcomes. Regarding the logistical hurdles of rescheduling, Shinde explained that organizing an exam of this magnitude typically requires about three weeks.
