Maharashtra HSC Result 2023: Konkan Best-performing District, 91.25% Students Qualify

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has released the results for class 12th today, May 25. This year, 91.25% of students successfully cleared the board examination. A total of 14,57,221 students registered for the Maharashtra Class 12 exams. Notably, girls outperformed boys, with 93.73% of girls achieving success compared to 89.14% of boys. However, this marks a 2.97% decrease from last year's results. In the 2022 Maharashtra HSC results, 14,39,731 students appeared for the examination, out of which 13,56,604 students passed. This was a significant drop from 2021 when the pass percentage was 99.6%.

For the Maharashtra HSC Result 2023, out of the total number of students, 6,84,118 males cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 89.14%. On the other hand, 6,48,985 female candidates appeared for the exam, with 6,08,350 of them qualifying, resulting in a pass percentage of 93.77%. Similarly, in the previous year, girls had outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 95.35% for female students and 93.29% for male students. Overall, 14,39,731 students appeared for the examination, out of which 13,56,604 students passed. This year, girls continued to excel in comparison to their male counterparts.

In terms of district-wise performance, Konkan secured the highest pass percentage of 96.01%. It was followed by Aurangabad, Pune, Kolhapur, Nasik, Latur, Nagpur, and Mumbai, which scored 88.13%, the lowest among the nine zones for the second consecutive year. To pass the MSBSHSE HSC exam, candidates must secure at least 35% in each subject and overall. Those who fail to meet the minimum marks may need to appear for the supplementary exam. The results were announced in a press conference, and students can access their digital mark sheets from the official MSBSHSE website, mahahsscboard.in. Other websites like hscresult.mkcl.org, mahresult.nic.in, and hsc.mahresults.org.in also provide access to the results. The Maharashtra 12th board exams were conducted from February 21 to March 21.
