JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Details



Students looking to register for the JEE Advanced 2026 can expect the registration process to open next month. Recently, IIT Roorkee unveiled the full schedule for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam, detailing everything from registration to exam dates. The JEE Advanced is set for May 17, featuring two sessions on that day. The first session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the second session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates must take both papers to be eligible for the merit list.


Important Dates for Registration

Registration for JEE Advanced 2026 will start on April 23 and will be open until May 2, 2026. However, foreign candidates can begin their applications as early as April 6. All applications must be submitted via the official JEE Advanced website, jeeadv.ac.in. This year, JEE Advanced scores will also be accepted for admissions to IISc Bangalore, in addition to the IITs.


Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced

To be eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must rank within the top 250,000 in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2026. They can apply for the exam for two consecutive years and must have completed their Class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in either 2025 or 2026. Candidates who have already gained admission to an IIT are not eligible to apply.

Examination Format and Admit Card Information

Exam Format


The JEE Advanced will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Candidates are encouraged to practice with the mock tests available in the 'Resources' section of the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Admit cards for the examination will be available for download from May 11 to May 17, 2026. It is crucial for candidates to bring a hard copy of their admit card along with valid identification to the exam center, as soft copies will not be accepted.
