The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a new online platform for students to verify their marks and request re-evaluation of their answer sheets. This service is available to those who have already received scanned copies of their answer sheets.
Details on the Re-evaluation Process
In light of the recent CBSE 2026 results, students expressing confusion or dissatisfaction with their scores can now utilize the newly activated online portal for marks verification and re-evaluation. This facility is available for a limited time, with the application deadline set for June 6.
Aadhaar Verification Requirement
This year, CBSE has mandated Aadhaar verification as part of the application process to enhance security and authenticity. Students must provide their Aadhaar details when submitting their applications. Those without an Aadhaar card can use the Aadhaar number of a parent or close relative, ensuring that the name, date of birth, and gender on the application match the Aadhaar details of the individual whose number is being used. Students are encouraged to thoroughly read the guidelines provided by the Board before applying.

Student Concerns Post-Results
After the announcement of the CBSE results, many students expressed concerns regarding their scores, with several reporting lower marks than anticipated. This led to heightened interest in the re-evaluation process, which the Board has now officially launched.
Evaluation Process Under Scrutiny
The evaluation process has come under scrutiny this year due to the implementation of the On-Screen Marking (OMS) system. This digital method allows examiners to assess scanned answer sheets. Following the results, numerous students voiced complaints on social media about the evaluation process, including issues with technical glitches in the scanned copies and the evaluation of their answers. As a result, there has been a significant increase in student inquiries regarding post-result services.
Additionally, the Board has revised the fee structure for this year. The cost for obtaining scanned copies of answer sheets has been reduced from ₹700 to ₹100 per subject. The verification fee has also been lowered to ₹100 per subject, while the re-evaluation fee has been significantly decreased to ₹25 per question, down from ₹100.

Students are advised to carefully examine their scanned answer sheets prior to applying for re-evaluation. They should confirm that all answers have been assessed, that no pages have been overlooked, that the total marks are accurate, and that no specific answers have been missed.
