CBSE Extends Deadline for Class 12 Re-evaluation Registration
Registration Deadline Extended
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension for the registration deadline for Class 12 answer sheet re-evaluation. Students dissatisfied with their scores can now submit their applications until midnight tonight, May 25.
Government Involvement to Fix Technical Issues
**Experts from IITs and PSBs Engaged**
Many students are experiencing challenges while trying to register on the portal, including inconsistent fee charges. To address these technical issues, the government has brought in specialists from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Public Sector Banks (PSBs).
Minister's Response to Complaints
**Education Minister's Actions**
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has requested a comprehensive report from the CBSE due to numerous complaints from students and parents about the technical problems faced during the re-evaluation process. To enhance the system's stability and improve the Board's digital capabilities, experts from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, along with four public sector banks—State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, and Indian Bank—are collaborating with the CBSE to strengthen its payment gateway and integrate it with the post-examination services portal.
Portal Issues Encountered by Students
**Common Problems on the Portal**
Students applying for re-evaluation are facing persistent issues on the portal, such as server outages, payment gateway malfunctions, difficulties logging into accounts, unclear scanned copies of answer sheets, and various operational problems.
Re-checking Application Process
**Timeline for Re-checking Applications**
Students who submit their re-checking applications by today—May 25—will receive scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. If they find any discrepancies or wish to request a re-evaluation, they can apply for Observation/Re-evaluation within two days of receiving these copies.
