The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to announce the compartment examination results for both classes 10 and 12 in 2023 very soon. While media reports suggest that the results will be released this week, an official confirmation from the board is still awaited. Once the results are out, students who appeared for the exams can check their class 10 and 12 compartment examination results on the official CBSE websites: cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.gov.in. Additionally, the results can be accessed on results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, results.nic.in, and results.gov.in. To view their scores, students will need to enter their roll numbers, which can be found on their admit cards.

The CBSE conducted the class 10 compartment examinations from July 17 to 22, while the class 12 compartment examinations took place on July 17 in multiple shifts. These compartment exams are open to students who did not pass the regular annual examinations or were dissatisfied with their board examination results.

In the recently announced CBSE board exam results for 2023, which were declared on May 12 for both classes 10 and 12, 93.12 per cent of students cleared the class 10 exams, and the overall pass percentage for class 12 was 87.33 per cent. Notably, girls outperformed boys in both classes, with a pass percentage of 90.68 per cent. The top-performing region in the country was Trivandrum.

To pass the CBSE compartment board exams in 2023, students will need to secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject and overall. Additionally, candidates must score at least 33 per cent aggregate in five or more subjects, meaning either five main subjects or four main subjects plus one optional subject, as per CBSE rules. Students failing to meet these criteria will have to repeat the academic year.

Looking ahead, the CBSE board exams for the following year are scheduled to commence from February 15, 2024. The board has directed all organizations to plan their exams around this schedule to avoid any conflicts.
