CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Results Delayed, Students Anxious
Delay in CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Results
The release of the Class 12 re-evaluation results by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has been postponed, leaving countless students across the nation in distress. Reports indicate that more than 160,000 students have applied for re-evaluation, and many are still awaiting their results.
CBSE has stated that results are being issued in phases; as of June 21, results for 87% of the applications had been announced. This means that around 13% of students are still waiting, which has raised significant concerns. With college admission deadlines approaching, students are increasingly anxious and frustrated, drawing national attention to the situation.
Student Anxiety on the Rise
The re-evaluation portal for CBSE closed on June 7. After a prolonged wait, many students have taken to social media to express their frustrations and have sent emails to CBSE for updates. One student shared on X (formerly Twitter) that while results for 87% of students were released on June 21, their status remains 'Under Process,' causing considerable stress as college counseling deadlines loom.
Another student highlighted that while peers are preparing for further studies, those waiting for re-evaluation results are stuck refreshing the portal. Some students have requested access to their evaluated answer sheets and revised copies, as they need complete documentation for admissions and verification.
Impact on Admission Processes
Several significant national entrance exams have already progressed; for example, the provisional answer key for NEET-UG has been released, and many universities are conducting counseling and admission processes. Consequently, students are concerned about completing these procedures without their final Class 12 marksheets. Some have reported being unable to submit their marksheets where necessary, while others fear that delayed results may cause them to miss out on crucial counseling rounds.
Checking Your Re-evaluation Status
Students who are still waiting for their re-evaluation results can check their application status by visiting results.digilocker.gov.in. To do this, log in to your account on the DigiLocker website or app (or create a new account if you do not have one). Click on the ‘CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Board Result’ option on the homepage, enter the required details, and submit; the result will then be displayed on the screen. Additionally, students can download their scorecards from official websites such as cbse.gov.in.
