CBSE Board 10th, 12th Result 2023 Likely To Be Released In May, Check Update

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the results of classes 10 and 12 board exams in May, but an official date has not yet been announced. Students can check their results on the official websites, cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in, as well as on DigiLocker, via SMS, and the UMANG app. The evaluation of answer sheets for class 10 was completed around April 16, and for class 12, it was completed in the last week of April. Based on past patterns, CBSE is likely to release both Class 10 and 12 results on the same day but at different times. The board will communicate the date and time of the results announcement through its social media channels before the announcement.

CBSE conducted the class 10 and 12 board exams from February to April 2023, starting on February 15. Class 10 exams concluded on March 21, while class 12 exams ended on April 5. This year, over 38 lakh students appeared for the CBSE class 10th and 12th exams, with the number of students taking the class 10 and 12 exams being around 21,86,940 and 16,96,770, respectively.

To pass the CBSE board exams, a student must score 33% or more in each subject and receive passing grades on their internal and external papers. To obtain a passing certificate, a student must receive an "E grade" or higher in every subject that is part of an internal examination, unless exempted. The results of the external exams will only be withheld for a year if a student does not clear the internal or external examination. If a candidate passes all of the internal assessment exams but fails one of the five subjects on the external examinations, they must sit for the compartment exam for that subject.
