CBSE Re-evaluation Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently overseeing the re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets. In a recent notification, the Board reassured students and their parents that those who experienced an overcharge during the application process need not worry. The excess fees will be refunded directly to the students' accounts.

Students and guardians can submit their applications for re-checking answer sheets until May 25.

Key Points from the Notification

The CBSE notification states that on May 21–22, 2026, some students faced technical issues leading to incorrect fee deductions while applying for scanned copies of their answer sheets. In certain cases, students were charged more than the required fee, while others were charged less. The Board will refund any excess payments to the original payment accounts. Students who were undercharged will be notified separately about any outstanding balance. Scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets will be provided without requiring a new request.

If students notice any discrepancies in their scanned answer sheets after receiving them, they can apply for 'Verification/Re-evaluation' within two days.

Compartment Exam Applications

Students who received a 'Compartment' in the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations can begin applying online starting June 2. The compartment exams are set to take place on July 15. This year, the overall pass percentage for the examinations is recorded at 85.20%. Out of 1,780,365 registered candidates, 1,507,109 successfully passed, while 163,800 students received a compartment.
