The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled the timeline for the re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets. The board has confirmed that the application portal for this process will be accessible starting June 1. This announcement follows an earlier statement indicating that the application process would begin on May 29. Students have already received scanned copies of approximately 400,000 Class 12 answer sheets, and a large number of students are expected to seek re-evaluation.

CBSE has provided insights regarding the re-evaluation portal's launch. The board mentioned that students interested in post-result activities aimed at ensuring a transparent and accurate verification and re-evaluation of their answer sheets can access the portal from June 1, 2026. Steps to Apply for Re-evaluation
To apply for the re-evaluation of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets, follow these steps:
1. Visit the official CBSE website.
2. Navigate to the 'Post Result Services' or 'Verification and Re-evaluation' section on the homepage.
3. Log in using your Roll Number and Admit Card ID. Only students who have received photocopies of their answer sheets can proceed with the verification or re-evaluation.
4. Choose the type of application: Verification of Marks, Re-evaluation, or both.
5. Select one or more subjects and specify the question numbers for re-evaluation.
6. Double-check all entered details.
7. Pay the required fee online.
8. Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.
High Demand for Answer Sheet Photocopies
As of May 26, CBSE reported receiving 404,319 applications for scanned copies of answer sheets, with students requesting photocopies of a total of 1,131,961 answer sheets. The board has digitally provided 898,214 answer sheets to students.
