BITS Pilani Launches Board Toppers Admission Scheme for 2026

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has initiated the application process for its 'Board Toppers Admission Scheme 2026'. This program allows students who have achieved the top rank in various central and state education boards across India to gain direct admission without the necessity of a BITSAT score. Interested candidates can apply online for their preferred courses.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for 5:00 PM on June 30, 2026. This initiative provides a unique opportunity for high-achieving students based on their exceptional performance in board examinations.

Available Courses for Admission

**Which courses are available for admission?**

Students who have completed their studies in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) will be eligible for any first-degree program at BITS. Those with a background in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) can apply for courses like B.Pharm and B.E. in Environmental and Sustainable Development Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scheme, candidates must have achieved the highest aggregate percentage in their respective board's 2026 examination. The aggregate percentage will be calculated based on marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology, along with other subjects required for passing Class 12. Even if these subjects are optional or elective, their marks will be included in the calculation.

BITS Pilani has specified that only students officially recognized as 'first rank holders' by their respective boards will be eligible for admission benefits. Applications must be submitted online.

Tie-Breaking Selection Process

In instances where multiple students achieve the first position on a board, BITS Pilani will admit a maximum of four students under this scheme. If more than four students share the top rank, the institute will apply its established selection criteria to determine eligibility. The final date for applications remains June 30, 2026, at 5 PM.
