Overview of BPSC Calendar 2026


Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Calendar 2026: The BPSC has unveiled its recruitment schedule for 2026, detailing exam dates, advertisements, and results for 48 recruitment processes under the fourth phase (BPSC TRE 4.0), which encompasses a total of 46,585 teaching roles. This calendar also specifies the exam and result dates for positions such as assistant teachers and head teachers. However, information regarding the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) is still pending. The Commission has confirmed that all vacancies available by April 2026 will be filled.


Exam and Result Schedule

The written exams for the 46,585 teaching roles under BPSC TRE 4.0 are scheduled from September 22 to September 27, 2026, with results anticipated in November 2026. The examination for 935 Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) positions will take place from April 14 to April 21, 2026, and results will be announced in June 2026. The Principal Teacher Recruitment exam for 40,247 positions occurred on January 29, 2026, with results expected in March 2026. Additionally, results for the 2,035 posts from the BPSC 70th Recruitment will be released between April and May 2026, while the Mains examination for the 71st Recruitment (1,298 posts) is set for April 25-30, 2026, with final results due by December 2026.


Status of 72nd Recruitment Posts

Currently, 550 posts have been submitted for the 72nd Recruitment, covering various roles such as Revenue Officer, positions in the Social Welfare Department, and CDPO. For technical and specialist roles, results for Drug Inspector will be available in June 2026, while results for the Mineral Development Officer and Geologist positions are expected in January 2026, and for the Assistant Regional Transport Officer in August 2026.


Result Dates for Health and Other Departments

Results for Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, and Unani Medical Officers in the Health Department are slated for release in September 2026. Additionally, results for the Town Planning Supervisor will be announced in April 2026, the District Art and Culture Officer in June 2026, and the Assistant Auditor results are also forthcoming.
