Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Update: The BPSC has officially revised the schedule for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) recruitment examination. The new examination dates are set from April 14, 2026, to April 21, 2026, and will be conducted in three distinct phases.
Revised Examination Schedule
Originally planned for January 10 to January 16, 2026, the examination was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The updated schedule is as follows:
- First Phase: April 14 and 15, 2026
- Second Phase: April 17 and 18, 2026
- Third Phase: April 20 and 21, 2026
Approximately 9.8 lakh candidates are expected to participate, making this one of the largest competitive exams in Bihar.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern
Selection Criteria: The recruitment will be determined solely through a written examination, with no interviews conducted. The exam will feature objective-type questions and will include negative marking, deducting one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer. The examination will consist of three papers:
- General Language: 100 questions (30 marks for General English and 70 marks for General Hindi) - Duration: 2 hours
- General Studies: 100 questions - Total: 100 marks - Duration: 2 hours
- General Aptitude: 100 questions - Total: 100 marks - Duration: 2 hours
