Uttar Pradesh Home Guard Recruitment Update



Candidates interested in the Uttar Pradesh Home Guard recruitment have received significant news. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is set to initiate the physical tests for recruitment. This will include running tests at 15 designated locations throughout the state. To ensure accurate tracking of performance, chips will be affixed to the candidates' legs during the run, recording both the distance and time taken. The recruitment process aims to fill 41,424 Home Guard positions in UP.


Running Test Schedule

**Running Test Dates: September 8 to 15**


The UPPRPB has scheduled the running tests for Home Guard recruitment from September 8 to September 15, with September 16 reserved as a backup day. The official schedule has been released, and preparations for the venues are currently in progress. Prior to this, the UPPRPB conducted physical examinations and document verification for candidates who successfully passed the written test, which took place from July 13 to August 7.


Locations for the Running Test

**15 Designated Locations Across the State**


The running tests will be held at 15 locations statewide, organized on a zonal basis. Here are the specific locations for each zone:



  • **Meerut Zone**: 6th Battalion PAC (Meerut) and 47th Battalion PAC (Ghaziabad)


  • **Varanasi Zone**: 39th Battalion PAC (Mirzapur) and Reserve Police Lines (Jaunpur New)


  • **Prayagraj Zone**: 4th Battalion PAC (Prayagraj)


  • **Gorakhpur Zone**: Reserve Police Lines (Sant Kabir Nagar)


  • **Agra Zone**: 45th Battalion PAC (Aligarh)


  • **Kanpur Zone**: 33rd Battalion PAC (Jhansi)


  • **Bareilly Zone**: 8th Battalion PAC (Bareilly) and 9th Battalion PAC (Moradabad)


  • **Lucknow Zone**: 35th Battalion PAC (Lucknow), 32nd Battalion PAC (Lucknow), 25th Battalion PAC (Raebareli), 10th Battalion PAC (Barabanki), and 11th Battalion PAC (Sitapur)



Running Requirements

**Distance and Time Requirements**


For the UP Home Guard recruitment, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 28 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 2.4-kilometer run within 16 minutes. The running events will occur in two shifts each day: the first shift starts at 5:00 AM, and the second at 6:00 AM.


Performance Tracking with Chips

To monitor performance during the running tests, candidates will have chips attached to their legs. This technology has been utilized in UP Home Guard recruitment since 2016. The chip, secured in a band around the candidate's leg, counts each step taken and records data such as distance and pause duration. Furthermore, it allows for real-time tracking of the candidate's location via a computer system.
