Young individuals aiming to pursue a teaching career in Uttar Pradesh have reason to celebrate. The registration for UP D.El.Ed programs will commence on June 15, 2026, and will remain open until July 8, 2026. Applicants must ensure that their application fees are submitted by July 9. The merit list is expected to be published on July 16, followed by the first round of counseling for seat allocation in both government and private D.El.Ed institutions from July 20 to August 10. This year, a total of 239,000 seats will be available for admission.


To qualify for UP D.El.Ed admission, candidates should have completed their graduation from an accredited institution with at least 50% marks. For those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and differently-abled individuals, the minimum requirement is lowered to 45%. Additionally, applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 years.

Reports indicate that in 2025, only 40% of the available seats were filled, leaving over 100,000 seats unoccupied. This year, the same number of seats will be available, but it remains uncertain how many will be filled.
