UPTET 2026 Exam Dates Announced

Reasons for UPTET Exam Postponement
Background on Exam Delays
- Last year, the chairman and former Director General of Police (DGP), Prashant Kumar, announced that the UPTET was scheduled for January 29 and 30. However, it was postponed due to administrative and technical issues.
- The last UPTET was conducted on January 23, 2022, causing anxiety among teaching candidates who had been preparing for months.
- In 2025, the Supreme Court mandated that TET is 'mandatory' for all teachers, including those currently in service.
- The Assistant Professor exam has been postponed twice and is now set for April 2026.
- According to official notifications, the Assistant Professor exam, originally scheduled for April 16 and 17, 2025, was postponed to September 4, 2025, but was later canceled by officials.
- The exam will now take place on April 18 and 19, with strict adherence to security protocols, transparency, and fairness. Candidates are advised to follow important guidelines on the exam day, as any misconduct may lead to disqualification.
