UPSSSC Recruitment Notification for Lecturers



The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 2,607 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). Educational Qualifications Required

What is the educational qualification?


Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. from an institution recognized by NCTE. For Music (both Vocal and Instrumental), a postgraduate degree in music or a bachelor's degree with a specialization in music is required, along with a B.Ed. For Physical Education, a bachelor's degree and an M.P.Ed. from a recognized university are necessary. For Art, a diploma in Fine Arts and a B.Ed. are required.


Salary and Application Fee

What is the salary?


Selected lecturers will be placed in Level-8, with a salary range of ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100, plus additional allowances as per regulations.


Application Fee


The application fee is ₹1,500 for candidates in the General, Unreserved, OBC, and EWS categories. For SC and ST candidates, the fee is ₹750, while it is ₹500 for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).


Selection Process

How will the selection take place?


The selection process for the Lecturer position will be based on a total of 400 marks, which includes a written examination worth 360 marks comprising 120 objective-type questions, and an interview worth 40 marks. A merit list will be created based on the combined scores from both the written exam and the interview.
