The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), has updated the schedule for the Polytechnic Admission 2026 Entrance Exam (UPJEE). The exam will now take place from June 2 to June 9, a shift from the previously planned dates of May 15 to May 22. JEECUP is also accelerating the process of releasing the admit cards, which will be available for download shortly.
How to Download Admit Cards

Types of Courses Offered at UP Polytechnic
**Four Main Course Categories:** UP Polytechnic provides a diverse range of diploma courses, categorized into four primary groups:
1. Group A – Engineering Courses: This group includes engineering diploma courses across various trades, recognized as pathways for lateral entry into B.Tech programs.
2. Group E – Pharmacy Courses: Known as the Diploma in Pharmacy or 'D. Pharma,' this two-year course falls under Group E.
3. Groups B to L: These groups feature diploma courses such as Fashion Designing, Home Science (*Grih Vigyan*), and Textile Design/Printing, aimed at students who have completed their 10th grade.
4. Groups K1 to K8: Engineering courses are also available for students who have completed an ITI program, allowing them lateral entry into the polytechnic.
Steps to Download the Hall Ticket
How to Access Your Hall Ticket:
The JEECUP will soon make the hall tickets available for the UPJEE. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the official JEECUP website: jeecup.admissions.nic.in.

1. Visit the official JEECUP website.
2. Click on the "JEECUP Admit Card 2026" link on the homepage.
3. A new page will appear where you need to enter your login details.
4. Click on "Submit" to generate your admit card.
5. Download the hall ticket and keep a printed copy for future reference.
Exam Pattern and Selection Process
Understanding the Exam Structure:
The UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam, organized by JEECUP, consists of a single paper worth 400 marks, containing 100 objective-type questions (MCQs). Each correct answer earns four marks. A merit list will be created based on the exam results, which will determine the allocation of polytechnic institutes to candidates.
