The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is hosting the Data Hackathon 2026, providing a fantastic opportunity for individuals aged 18 and above. Participants stand a chance to win exciting prizes, with the top award being Rs. 200,000.


What is the UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026?

The UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 focuses on analyzing social trends related to Aadhaar enrollment and updates. Participants will need to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and predictive indicators. The goal is to develop insights or frameworks that can aid in informed decision-making and enhance the system.


Prize Distribution

In total, five participants will receive awards in the UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026, with prizes ranging from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 25,000. Below is the prize breakdown:



  • First Prize: Rs. 2,00,000

  • Second Prize: Rs. 1,50,000

  • Third Prize: Rs. 75,000

  • Fourth Prize: Rs. 50,000

  • Fifth Prize: Rs. 25,000


Certificates will also be awarded to the winners.


Participation Details

The UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 will take place online, organized by UIDAI in partnership with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Here are the eligibility criteria:



  • Participants must be students enrolled in any Indian university.

  • Must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2026.

  • Participation can be as an individual or in teams of up to 5 members.

  • Individuals working with UIDAI and NIC are not eligible to compete.


Registration Process and Rules

Registration for the UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 will commence on January 5, 2026. Candidates will need to submit their ideas during registration. There will be a 15-day window for idea submission before the hackathon begins. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their ideas to UIDAI officials and a jury panel. The awards ceremony will take place in either Delhi or Bengaluru.
