The online application for the SSC Stenographer Grade-C (LDCE) examination is now open. Candidates can follow these steps to register:

4. Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents.

Selection Criteria

Selection Process


Candidates will be chosen based on a computer-based test and a stenography skill assessment. The exam will feature 100 multiple-choice questions from the General Awareness section and another 100 from the English section, totaling 200 marks. The duration of the exam is two hours, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Those who pass this stage will then take a 200-mark stenography skill test.


Successful candidates will be appointed to various government departments, including the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service, Armed Forces Headquarters, and the Indian Foreign Service.
