RBI Recruitment 2026: The Reserve Bank of India Services Board (RBISB) has released the official notification for the Grade ‘B’ recruitment on April 28, 2026. This recruitment initiative aims to fill 60 vacancies for Grade ‘B’ Officers (Direct Recruitment – DR) across various cadres including General, DEPR, and DSIM. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official RBI website from April 29, 2026, until May 20, 2026.


Eligibility Criteria for Application

What are the Application Eligibility Criteria?
Candidates from any academic background can apply for the General Grade ‘B’ position, requiring a minimum of 60% marks in their undergraduate degree. For SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, the requirement is lowered to 50%. Those with a postgraduate degree must have at least 55% marks, while reserved category candidates only need to pass.


For the Grade ‘B’ (DEPR) role, candidates should have a Master’s degree in Economics or Finance with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). Preference will be given to those with a PhD or relevant research experience.
In the DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management), candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science with at least 55% marks. Candidates with a 4-year undergraduate degree in these fields must have secured 60% marks. Higher qualifications like a PhD will also be prioritized.

Application Fees

What is the Registration Fee?
The application fee varies by candidate category. SC/ST/PwBD candidates only need to pay Intimation Charges of ₹118 (including 18% GST). In contrast, General, OBC, and EWS candidates must pay a total of ₹1,003 (including 18% GST) for the Application Fee and Intimation Charge. RBI employees are exempt from any fees.


Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a starting salary of approximately ₹78,450 per month, along with various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), Special Allowance, Grade Allowance, and Housing Rent Allowance (HRA) of about 15% if official accommodation is not provided, along with other benefits.
