UP Board Exam 2026 Guidelines: The UP Board's 10th and 12th examinations are set to commence on February 18th. In a bid to ensure a secure and equitable examination process, the state government has introduced new guidelines, which include modifications to existing rules. Notably, students will no longer be required to remove their shoes and socks during security checks. Additionally, female staff members will be mandated for the frisking of female students.

CCTV Monitoring and Frisking Protocols
In the past, there have been complaints regarding inappropriate conduct during student frisking at UP Board exams. This led to protests from parents and students against the requirement to remove shoes and socks. To address these concerns, the UP Board has implemented new frisking protocols, ensuring that students can keep their shoes and socks on. Female students will only be frisked by female personnel. To further enhance security, examination centers will be monitored using CCTV and audio recording systems.

Regulations on Mobile Devices and Surveillance

Preservation of CCTV Footage and Device Restrictions
As per the new guidelines for the UP Board Exam 2026, CCTV footage will be retained for a duration of 30 days. Furthermore, teachers and staff members are prohibited from bringing mobile phones or any digital devices into the examination centers; these items must be left outside.

Sensitive Districts and Inspection Protocols

Identification of Highly Sensitive Districts
In preparation for the UP Board examinations, 20 districts have been identified as highly sensitive to prevent cheating. Examination centers in these districts will undergo two inspections on the examination day. Additionally, jammers will be installed at 20 examination centers across the state. These directives were communicated by the Chief Secretary during a video conference held on Wednesday.
