NEET-UG Exam 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the NEET-UG examination in June. To provide candidates with sufficient preparation time, the exam schedule will be unveiled by May 20. The examination will maintain its traditional pen-and-paper format.
Exam Schedule and Preparation
As per reports, the CUET-UG is slated for May 31, with the NEET-UG exam expected to follow in the first or second week of June. Notably, the question paper will be crafted by a new team, distinct from previous years, ensuring that no questions from earlier exams will be reused. This new team will consist of individuals who have not previously worked with the NTA, and details about them will be limited to select NTA officials. Additionally, there are discussions about incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the question selection process.
Supervision of Question Paper Printing
**Question Papers to be Printed Under Ministry of Home Affairs' Supervision**
This year, the printing of question papers will occur under the direct oversight of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Sources indicate that the option for "on-the-spot printing" is also under consideration, with confidentiality being a top priority. A final decision on this matter will be made during the later stages of planning.
Commitment to Student Integrity
**No Compromise on Students' Hard Work**
NTA Director General Abhishek Singh has assured that there will be no compromises regarding the efforts of students. He emphasized that the "paper leak mafia" has adversely affected countless diligent students. Singh confirmed that stringent measures will be put in place to prevent such incidents in the future. He encouraged any student or parent with information about paper leaks or sample papers to report it via email, assuring that their identities will remain confidential.
