NEET UG 2026 Registration Details

NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026. Candidates interested in applying can do so until March 8, 2026, at 9 PM. The examination is set to take place on May 3, 2026. This year, the NTA has introduced several modifications to the registration process, particularly concerning the selection of exam cities.

Changes in Exam City Selection

In a significant shift, candidates will no longer have the option to choose from four exam cities as they did in previous years. Instead, they will select their exam city based on their permanent and current addresses. During registration, candidates must provide these address details, after which a list of nearby cities will be displayed for selection.

Previous Rules for Exam City Selection:
Previously, candidates could select any four preferred cities during the registration process, and the NTA would allocate them based on availability.

New Selection Process

Selection Based on Address:
Under the new guidelines, candidates can choose up to three cities for their exam location. This change aims to enhance convenience by allowing candidates to take the exam closer to their homes.

Verification Process:
To ensure the accuracy of the provided addresses, the NTA will utilize Aadhaar cards for cross-verification. No additional documentation will be required for the current address. It is important to note that once an exam city is selected, it cannot be altered.
