National Disaster Management Authority is an organization that was established by the government of India in 2005. The institute is engaged in the process of planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing measures for prevention of danger or threat of any disaster to deal with any disaster, prompt response, assessing the severity or magnitude of effects of any disaster, evacuation, rescue, relief, etc. and also build a safer and disaster resilient India by technology-driven and sustainable development strategy that involves all stakeholders and fosters a culture of prevention, preparedness, and mitigation. The institute also develops practices, delivers hands-on training, and organizes drills for disaster management. The organization provides such support to other countries affected by major disasters as may be determined by the Central Government. Now the organization has announced vacancies for the post of Consultant. Those candidates who have a master’s degree and experience in any subject related to any recognized institute can apply for the post.

The maximum age of the candidates will be 50 years and age relaxation will be given to the reserved category.

Salary

The candidates who will be selected for these posts will get a salary of 75000-250000 / -.

Educational Qualification

•  Master’s Degree in any discipline (preferably in disaster Management, Social work, Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Geology, Agriculture, Management, Science, Engineering)
• Persons with M.Phil., Ph.D., additional qualifications, research experience, published papers, and post qualification experience in the relevant field would be given additional weightage.
• Candidates should have 5-10 years post qualification experience in the relevant fields.

 Selection Process

Those candidates who are eligible will appear for the written exam and then shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and selection will be based on that only.
