Great news for job seekers in Madhya Pradesh! The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially announced the State Service Examination for 2026, also known as PCS 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 155 positions across various departments, including administrative and police roles. Notably, this year marks the introduction of negative marking in the preliminary exam for the first time. Details of MPPSC PCS 2026 Recruitment

The MPPSC has unveiled the notification for the PCS examination 2026, which will facilitate the recruitment for several key positions such as Deputy Collector, DSP, Naib Tehsildar, and Development Block Officer. Among the 155 available posts, the majority—39 positions—are designated for the Development Block Women Empowerment Officer. Additionally, there are 18 openings for DSP, 17 for Additional Collector, 16 for Cooperative Extension Officer, and 15 for Additional Assistant Development Commissioner. The application window opens on January 10, 2026, and will close on February 9, 2026. A correction window will be available from January 15 to February 11, 2026, allowing candidates to rectify any application errors.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution to be eligible for this recruitment. The age requirements stipulate that applicants for non-uniformed positions must be between 21 and 40 years old, while those applying for uniformed roles, such as DSP, must be no older than 33 years.


Selection Process Overview

The selection will occur in three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. The preliminary exam is scheduled for April 26, 2026, with admit cards available from April 16, 2026.


Application Fee Structure

The application fee is set at Rs. 250 for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates from Madhya Pradesh. All other applicants, including those from outside the state, will need to pay Rs. 500. Late applications will also be accepted with an additional fee.
