Introduction to the Program

Jamia Senior Secondary School, in collaboration with IIT Madras, has launched the 'School Connect' initiative aimed at broadening students' horizons regarding higher education and career opportunities. This program is designed to complement the regular curriculum for students in classes 9 to 12 by offering insights into various fields.

Eligibility Criteria

Students enrolled in classes 9 through 12 at Jamia Senior Secondary School are eligible to participate in this initiative. The online courses will provide them with a foundational understanding of diverse subjects, allowing exploration of areas that align with their interests and future aspirations. The curriculum includes both traditional subjects and emerging fields in technology, management, and humanities.

Course Duration

The 'School Connect' program features eight-week online certificate courses. These courses are structured to facilitate learning from home, covering essential topics such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing, humanities, and management. This approach helps students identify potential pathways for their higher education.

Subjects Offered

Participants will have the chance to delve into subjects like Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Economics, Law, Digital Humanities, Ecology, and Forensic Science. These courses aim to provide insights into rapidly evolving fields, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for further studies.

Technical Domain Learning

The program also encompasses courses in electronic systems, architecture, product design, and biological systems. Students interested in these areas will gain foundational knowledge through online learning, exposing them to a variety of disciplines from science and technology to design and biological sciences.

Certification Process

To earn the online course certificate, students must complete the required assignments and pass examinations. Those who fulfill the course criteria will receive an e-certificate from IIT Madras CODE, which will serve as a formal acknowledgment of their course completion.
