Today marks the third and final day of the UP Police Constable recruitment examination, which is being conducted over three days: June 8, 9, and 10, 2026. Candidates participating in this exam are advised to follow certain guidelines, which we will outline in this article.
Mandatory Documents for Exam Center
Admit Card and Aadhar Card Required
All candidates must bring their admit card along with their Aadhar card to the examination center. Those who did not provide their Aadhar card during the application process can use a valid government-issued ID (such as a passport or driving license). Note that entry will not be granted without a photo ID.
Important Instructions for the Exam
Entry to the Exam Center
- Candidates will be allowed entry to the exam center only after proper verification of their admit card and original ID (Aadhar card).
- Upon arrival at the exam center, candidates will undergo biometric verification (iris scan) and have their photographs taken.
- Candidates must ensure their Aadhar card is updated and unlocked for identification purposes during the written exam.
- If there is a mismatch with the ID, candidates will not be permitted to take the exam.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall until the exam is completed.
- The admit card is valid only for the designated exam center and date.
- Entry will be permitted at the scheduled time only.
- No changes to the exam date, session, or center are allowed.
Exam Format and Guidelines
Exam Structure
- The offline written exam will be OMR-based.
- The duration of the exam is 120 minutes, consisting of 150 objective-type questions. Each correct answer will earn 2 points.
- Only blue or black ballpoint pens should be used to fill out the OMR answer sheet.
- The use of correction fluid, erasers, or blades to change answers is prohibited.
- Instructions for filling out the OMR answer sheet are available on the board's website. Candidates are advised to read the guidelines carefully, as they will be responsible for any errors in filling out the OMR sheet or attendance sheet.
General Instructions
- Candidates are allowed to bring their admit card, photo ID proof, and a transparent blue/black ballpoint pen into the exam hall. The use of pencils, ink/sketch pens, or gel pens is strictly prohibited.
- No stationery items such as printed or written materials, pieces of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, or electronic pens/scanners are allowed.
- Gadgets like mobile phones, cameras, watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, and health bands are not permitted.
- No wallets, handbags, hats, or any metallic items are allowed.
- Food items or water bottles are also prohibited.
- Candidates will be informed of the time remaining 60 minutes after the exam starts and 15 minutes before it ends via announcements from the invigilator.
- All candidates are advised not to bring any valuables to the exam center, as there are no provisions for securing personal belongings.
Exam Pattern Overview
The UP Police recruitment exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions covering topics such as general knowledge, general Hindi, numerical and mental ability, mental aptitude, intelligence, and logical reasoning. Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the paper, with 2 points awarded for each correct answer. Be aware that there is a provision for negative marking, with a deduction of 0.5 points for each incorrect answer, so avoid guessing.
