The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced a recruitment drive for 1,180 Assistant Teacher roles in primary schools across the capital. Interested candidates can submit their applications online.

Details of the Recruitment

This recruitment presents a significant opportunity for aspiring teachers in Delhi. The application process is entirely online, and candidates can apply by visiting the official DSSSB website at dsssb.delhi.gov.in.

Out of the total 1,180 positions, 1,055 are allocated under the Directorate of Education, while 125 positions are designated for the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). The application window opens on September 17 and closes on October 16.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed their 12th grade with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. Additionally, a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is required, along with a valid CTET certificate for the application to be accepted.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 30 years. However, candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government regulations.

Application Fee Structure

General category applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹100. In contrast, women, SC, ST, and Divyang candidates are exempt from this fee.

Selection Process

The selection will be straightforward, with no lengthy examinations or interviews involved. Candidates will be chosen based on their academic records and merit, leading to the creation of a final merit list.

Salary Details

Selected Assistant Teachers will receive a salary in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission, ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month.
