The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent circular circulating on social media. This notice falsely claims that the procedures for obtaining scanned copies of answer sheets and re-evaluation have been halted.
In the wake of the CBSE Class 12 Board results announcement, this misleading information has gained traction online. CBSE has firmly stated that these claims are entirely false. The Board reassured students and parents that the processes for acquiring scanned copies, verifying marks, and re-evaluating will continue as usual. They urged everyone to rely on information from the official website rather than unverified sources.
CBSE's Official Response to Fake News
CBSE reiterated through its social media channels that the circulated notice is incorrect and misleading. The Board emphasized its commitment to transparency and fairness in evaluation processes. Any legitimate concerns raised by students will be thoroughly reviewed by subject experts following established protocols.
Extended Deadline for Scanned Copies Applications
Due to ongoing technical issues, CBSE has extended the deadline for students to apply for scanned copies of their answer sheets. The original deadline of May 22 was first pushed to May 23 and has now been extended to May 24, 2026. This extension aims to ensure that all students have the chance to submit their applications despite the technical difficulties.
Technical Issues Affecting Application Process
Since the application process began on May 20, numerous students have reported various technical problems with the portal. Many faced prolonged inaccessibility of the website, issues with payment processing, and difficulties in submitting applications. Some students even encountered an erroneous fee display of ₹69,000 per copy. In response to these complaints, CBSE has instructed its technical team to address and resolve these issues promptly.
Understanding the Re-evaluation Process
According to CBSE's updated guidelines, students must first request a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheets. After reviewing their sheets, they can choose to apply for either marks verification or re-evaluation. This process is designed to allow students to view their answer sheets transparently, alleviating any concerns they may have.
