Details of the Recruitment

The WBSSC has released a notification for filling 8,477 non-teaching staff positions in both government and aided secondary and higher secondary schools across the state. Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications and Age Limit:


For Group D positions, candidates must have completed at least the 8th grade. For Group C positions, eligibility extends from 10th grade to graduates. The age requirement is set between 18 and 40 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories as per government regulations.


Selection Process

Application Fees

Fee Structure:


Applicants from the general and OBC categories must pay a fee of Rs 140 for Group C positions and Rs 120 for Group D positions. For SC, ST, and Divyang candidates, the fees are Rs 70 for Group C and Rs 60 for Group D.


Salary Information

Successful candidates for Group C positions will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs 22,700 to Rs 26,000. Those selected for Group D positions will earn Rs 20,050 per month, along with additional government allowances.


Exam Pattern

Structure of the Exams:


The Group C examination will consist of 60 questions, with 15 questions each from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General English, and Arithmetic. The Group D exam will feature 45 questions, including 15 questions each from General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Arithmetic.
