Uttarakhand's Group C Exams to Feature Live Telecasts and Biometric Attendance

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission is introducing live telecasts and biometric attendance for Group C examinations to enhance transparency and security. This initiative aims to eliminate malpractice and ensure strict oversight at examination centers. With jammers being inspected and security protocols tightened, the Commission is committed to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Candidates will have their attendance recorded at the gates, and live feeds will allow for real-time monitoring of activities. These measures are part of a broader strategy to prevent irregularities and ensure a fair testing environment.

Enhancing Transparency in Group C Examinations

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is implementing significant reforms to ensure transparency in Group C examinations. From now on, all exams will be broadcast live, and biometric attendance will be recorded at the entrance.

This initiative aims to eliminate any potential for malpractice during the Group C exams for government positions in Uttarakhand. The UKSSSC's decision to live stream the examinations will allow for direct oversight of all activities at the testing centers.

Additionally, attendance will be recorded at the gates to deter any irregularities. This new strategy is part of the Commission's effort to avoid issues similar to those that arose during a recent examination, which caused considerable public outcry.

Enhanced Technical Security Measures

Jammers to be Inspected Before Each Exam

The Commission is prioritizing technical security in its updated system. Jammers will be checked at each examination center a day prior to the exam. Any defective jammers will be replaced immediately. This decision follows an incident during the last undergraduate examination where some 4G jammers failed to block 5G signals, allowing network access.

An important meeting has been scheduled for October 27th and 28th to address these technical deficiencies.

Stricter Security Protocols at Examination Centers

Increased Security Measures

Security at examination centers will be more rigorous than ever. Personnel will be stationed at the centers the night before the exams. Jammers will undergo testing the day before, with any technical issues promptly resolved.

A thorough inspection of the entrance and exit points, wall heights, and overall security will be conducted by a team comprising police and magistrates. G.S. Martolia, the Commission Chairman, emphasized that the Sector Magistrate, Examination Center Coordinator, and Supervisor will oversee the condition of jammers and security arrangements, submitting detailed reports after each exam.

Biometric Attendance Implementation

Attendance Recorded at the Gate

This time, attendance will be taken at the examination center gates. The biometric verification process will occur at the entrance, restricting access to outsiders. Only candidates and the center supervisor will be allowed entry. Any additional visitors must undergo strict checks and obtain approval.

Live Monitoring of Examination Activities

Live Telecast Initiative

A key feature of this year's examinations is the live telecast system. The Commission will monitor activities at each examination center from a central control room located in its office. Live feeds will be transmitted from each center, enabling immediate detection of any suspicious activities or technical issues. This system is designed to enhance transparency and facilitate prompt action in case of irregularities.
