Overview: The Uttarakhand Police Department is preparing to initiate the recruitment process for 198 open positions, which include Sub-Inspectors, Platoon Commanders, and Fire Station Second Officers. This action follows an official request submitted to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission as per the recruitment guidelines.


Vacancy Breakdown:
As per the official communication dated October 22, 2026, from Inspector General of Police (Personnel), Sunil Kumar Meena, the recruitment will cover the following roles:



  • Sub-Inspector (Civil Police - Male/Female): 93 positions


  • Sub-Inspector (Intelligence - Male/Female): 19 positions


  • Platoon Commander (Male - PAC/IRB/SDRF): 81 positions


  • Fire Station Second Officer: 5 positions
