Details on the New Doctor Recruitment in Uttarakhand 2025

The Uttarakhand government is actively enhancing healthcare services across the state. Previously, 220 medical officers were appointed to serve in remote health facilities. Despite this, there remain 300 vacant doctor positions that will soon be filled. The Health Minister has instructed officials to promptly submit a request to the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB) to expedite the recruitment process.

According to reports, the Health Minister emphasized, "The government is dedicated to improving the healthcare system. Therefore, doctors are being assigned to remote locations. In addition to providing quality care, the government is also addressing the issue of negligent staff. Last month, disciplinary action was taken against 234 doctors from government medical colleges for absenteeism. Out of these, 178 have rejoined the health department, while 56 disregarded the final warning, resulting in their termination. The bond amount associated with their employment will be reclaimed."

The Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB) has issued a notification regarding this new recruitment. This notification will include details about the vacancies, qualifications, age limits, application fees, and more. Once the application portal is open, candidates will be able to apply.
