Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Notification
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has released a new notification for the recruitment of Constables and Jail Warders. In a significant move, the board has announced a 3-year age relaxation for candidates across all categories. This adjustment comes in response to recruitment delays attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing more candidates to participate in the hiring process.
Eligible Birth Dates for Applicants:
The revised age criteria based on category are as follows:
General Category/EWS
- Male candidates: Born between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2007.
- Female candidates: Born between July 2, 1997, and July 1, 2007.
Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Male candidates: Born between July 2, 1995, and July 1, 2007.
- Female candidates: Born between July 2, 1992, and July 1, 2007.
Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- Male candidates: Born between July 2, 1995, and July 1, 2007.
- Female candidates: Born between July 2, 1992, and July 1, 2007.
Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- Male candidates: Born between July 2, 1995, and July 1, 2007.
- Female candidates: Born between July 2, 1992, and July 1, 2007.
Uttar Pradesh State Government Employees
- Male candidates: Born between July 2, 1995, and July 1, 2007.
- Female candidates: Born between July 2, 1992, and July 1, 2007.
Ex-Servicemen Candidates
For male ex-servicemen, the age limit is calculated by subtracting their service period from their actual age, which should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years. The resulting age must not exceed 28 years as of July 1, 2025, for general candidates and 31 years for others.
Application Timeline
The online application process for UP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 commenced on December 31 and will remain open until January 30, 2026. The deadline for fee payment is February 2. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website uppbpb.gov.in.
Application Fees
Applicants from General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of Rs. 500, while SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs. 400. Payments can be made online.
