Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment: The initiative to fill government positions in Uttar Pradesh is progressing vigorously. Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented appointment letters to 912 candidates selected for the police department during a ceremony at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow. The event was attended by various ministers, including Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, along with senior officials.


Remarks from CM Yogi during the Ceremony:


During the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the recruitment process's transparency. He pointed out that before 2017, there was widespread disappointment and distrust among the youth regarding recruitment practices, with frequent allegations of nepotism and irregularities.


The Chief Minister mentioned that significant changes were implemented in the recruitment process after his administration took charge. The requirement for interviews for Group-C and Group-D positions was eliminated, a move aimed at increasing transparency, as there were numerous complaints about irregularities during interviews.


Consistent Positions, Evolving Work Culture:


CM Yogi noted that while the government positions remain unchanged, the work culture has significantly improved. He stressed that the government did not recruit personnel from outside the state or districts; rather, it focused on enhancing accountability within the existing framework.


It is important to mention that the candidates who received their appointment letters were chosen by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. They have been assigned to roles such as Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts) within the police department.
