In Uttar Pradesh, the UPTET-2026 examination is set to take place soon. In a significant move, the state government has decided to grant special leave to serving teachers in the Basic Education Department who will participate in this eligibility test.
The directive was issued by Avadhesh Kumar Tiwari, the Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department, to the Director of Education (Basic).
Official Order Issued
According to the order from the Education Department, a large number of teachers from the Basic Education Department are expected to take part in the UPTET-2026 examination, scheduled for July 2, 3, and 4, 2026, by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission. Considering this, the government has decided to provide special leave for the exam dates after thorough discussions at the administrative level.
The government has instructed the Director of Education (Basic) to implement this order immediately and carry out the necessary administrative actions. Additionally, copies of this order have been sent to the Director General of School Education, the Secretary of the Basic Education Council in Prayagraj, and all District Basic Education Officers for further action and information.
