UPSSSC Announces Exam Schedule for Forest Guard, Cartographer, and Stenographer Positions

UPSSSC Exam Schedule Released
The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has revealed the examination dates for three significant recruitment tests. These include the Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard Main Examination, the Cartographer and Mapper Recruitment Examination, and the Stenographer Recruitment Examination, all scheduled for November.
Important Exam Dates
Candidates should mark their calendars for the following dates:
- Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard Main Written Examination: November 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Cartographer and Mapper Examination: November 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Stenographer Recruitment Examination: November 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Recruitment Details
The recruitment process will fill a total of 709 positions for Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard roles. Out of these, 693 are designated for Forest Guard and 16 for Wildlife Guard. Applications for these roles were accepted in 2023.
The distribution of Forest Guard vacancies is as follows:
- General Category: 333 posts
- Scheduled Castes: 189 posts
- Scheduled Tribes: 5 posts
- Other Backward Classes: 97 posts
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 69 posts
For Wildlife Guard positions, the distribution is:
- General Category: 8 posts
- Scheduled Castes: 3 posts
- OBC: 4 posts
- EWS: 1 post
Candidates who successfully pass the written examination will be invited to participate in a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹5,200 to ₹20,200, along with a grade pay of ₹1,900/- at Level 2.
Physical Standards Required
For Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 168 cm (8 cm relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
- Chest: 84 cm with a mandatory expansion of 5 cm (2 cm relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
For Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 152 cm (5 cm relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
Physical Test Requirements
Male candidates must complete a 25 km run with a 10 kg weight within 4 hours, while female candidates are required to run 14 km in the same time frame.
