Age Relaxation Guidelines

Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories. Scheduled Caste (SC) applicants can enjoy a 5-year extension, while Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates receive 3 years. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) may receive an additional 10 years, depending on their category.


For positions with a maximum age limit of 50 years, PwBD candidates can apply until they are 56 years old. The UPSC may also consider relaxing educational qualifications and experience requirements for eligible candidates.
