The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the recruitment for the positions of Assistant Commandant in the CAPF for the year 2026. A total of 349 vacancies have been advertised by the commission, which includes 106 positions for the Central Reserve Police Force, 108 for the Border Security Force, 70 for the Central Industrial Security Force, 53 for the Armed Border Force, and 12 for the India-Tibet Border Police.

The minimum age requirement is 20 years, while the maximum age limit is set at 25 years (candidates must be born between August 2, 2001, and August 1, 2006). Eligibility Criteria

Examination Fee

Physical Test Requirements

For Men: A height of 165 cm is required, with a chest measurement between 81 to 86 cm. Candidates must complete a 100-meter run in 16 seconds and an 800-meter run in 3 minutes and 45 seconds. Long jump: 3.5 meters (3 attempts), and shot put (7.5 kg): 4.5 meters.


For Women: A height of 157 cm is required. Candidates must complete a 100-meter run in 18 seconds and an 800-meter run in 4 minutes and 45 seconds. Long jump: 3 meters (3 attempts).
